Hello. My name is Meredith.
I love being a teacher. I love that my profession allows me to immerse myself in the world of ideas and then participate in the give and take with 28 other individuals. It’s the most life-giving work I know.
One of the things I love most about my work is creating curriculum. I love to research and explore, and then come up with the most effective way to communicate those ideas to students. So inspiring!
The Waldorf curriculum is so incredible because it is so responsive to our students’ development. I believe all children should have access to an education that respects their development and inspires their soul.
But being a Waldorf teacher is hard work. It takes a lot of effort to craft curriculum that responds to each individual child’s development. But I strongly believe it doesn’t have to be that hard!
This is why I started A Waldorf Journey. If we make this job easier, more people will become Waldorf teachers. If there are more Waldorf teachers, more children will have access to this incredible, soul-enriching education.
So, this is more than a blog. It is a mission.
I hope you’ll join me in sharing resources, curriculum ideas and strategies that will help us meet our students’ needs better.
I’m also happy to help in any way I can. If you have a question, feel free to drop me an email or comment on a post and I’ll get back to you.
