So, though I’ve been quite busy with pulling my fifth grade curriculum materials together, I’ve had to also start getting ready for sixth grade. Yesterday I spent a nice sunny Sunday completely dedicated to sixth grade.
There are so many great things about the sixth grade curriculum, I just can’t wait.
Every year, the first thing I do is put together my block rotation. With this in place I can start preparing for the individual blocks with a pretty good idea of what needs to be prepped first and where I should focus my energy.
I always type up my block rotation in a nice document that includes the hallmarks of the year and special projects that we’ll be working on, but here’s my sixth grade block rotation in more abbreviated form.
