Yesterday was our last day of school and it came and went with lots of celebration and a few tears. Its been such a great, productive year and it was great to meet with my class parents and bask in their gratitude. I feel so grateful for the families who have chosen to come along on this journey with me.
I’ve spent all day today working on writing reports. Though writing these always feels like a formidable task, writing them is actually a pretty satisfying way to finish out the year.
I’m also working on pulling together the resources I used this year and offering them on this site. My family and I are leaving for a big trip at the end of the week and my hope is to have this work finished up by then.
I’m also really looking forward to sixth grade. Today I downloaded a book on Julius Caesar. Getting started on that has given me a nice break from working on the computer.
I know this is the time when lots of people are working on pulling together their resources for the coming year. It’s always so exciting to look forward to a new curriculum. Over the summer I’ll post some of my experiences preparing for next year.
