This time of year always brings a little bit of nervousness for me. Did I cover everything I should have? Will we finish everything? Can I get it all in?
Part of my nervousness is also about completing the seemingly insurmountable task of writing individual reports for my students. I tend to go a little overboard on reports, including a summary of the year, a block summary, a poem for each student in addition to an evaluation of their skills and habits.
I realized recently that the solution to my nervousness is simply to dive in and get to work. So, feeling quite industrious, I began work on the year and block summaries. I found that once I got going I started to feel quite reassured. First, by doing it I got one task checked off my list. Second, as I did it I realized all of the things we’ve done this year. Looking back, I can see that we’ve had an incredibly industrious and productive year.
My plan is to collect my year end summary with all of the other materials I used this year and offer it for homeschoolers and other teachers. Though I don’t have it all collected quite yet, I’m happy to offer my year end summary for free download. Later I’ll offer it for sale with the rest of my materials, but for now you can get just the summary of the year and the blocks for free. Definitely worth it!
Click below and follow the links through to Paypal. You will not be charged anything but need to go through the process in order to download the summaries.
