I don’t know what it is, but almost every Waldorf class I have encountered has a flair for the dramatic.
I guess it’s all of those heart-wrenching stories we tell.
Well, my class is no different. And today they really showed it off!
After telling them about Hammurabi’s code yesterday in main lesson, today I knew there were going to be lots of options for working with that material. We don’t get enough opportunities to do skits, so that’s what we did today.
I split them into groups of 3 or so, had them choose one of Hammurabi’s laws and create a skit around it. I have to say, the results were hilarious.
As in run-around-the-room, collapse-on-the-floor, laugh-out-loud and hope-you’re-not-bothering-the-class-next-door hilarious. It was great. I wish you could’ve been there.
All I can say is, we’re going to have one heck of a class play!
